Help with DMARC authentication

Hi,

My Sendy installation is on domain.com. This domain is verified in Amazon SES and the Custom Mail From is set to mail.domain.com in Amazon SES. The DKIM, SPF, and Mail From DNS entries are all entered in my domain registrar DNS Namecheap and all are green verified in Amazon SES.

However, when I send out an email campaign from Sendy, the DMARC verification fails for the email, and the DKIM and SPF verifications pass though.

How do I get DMARC verification to pass?

Thanks,
Abhijit

  • Hi Abhijit,

If your DKIM and SPF are passing but DMARC is failing, it usually means the From address in your emails doesn’t match your verified domain or the alignment required by DMARC isn’t met. Make sure that:

    1. The “From” email in Sendy is using the same domain that is verified in Amazon SES.
    2. Your SPF includes Amazon SES and any other sending servers you use.
    3. The DKIM you set up in SES is correctly aligned with your “From” domain.

Once these alignments are correct, DMARC should pass.

For the DMARC TXT record, set a simple v=DMARC1;p=quarantine as the value.

    Best regards,
    Ben
