It's good practice to use HTML entities instead of the resulting characters directly. It's the best way to ensure they'll work on any email clients (or browser).

That is simply not true. Sendy queries the progress every 2 seconds instead of 0.5 seconds. 5 seconds is too long, 2 seconds is just perfect.

There's no known bugs with the settings button. I suspect not all files has been uploaded to your /sendy/ directory. Can you re-upload all files again and ensure all files are uploaded?

Doesn't look like this would be a problem. But I thought of another alternative which may work (since your host's command line version of PHP does not have mysqli), which is by using a curl command instead of php:
