Send custom fields to API calls?

Can custom fields be included in subscribe API calls? I need to do an integration with Shopify. However, the standard API seems to only send name and email, but I require additional information to be sent. Is this possible?

    Yes. You can pass custom fields into subscribe API calls. Please see screenshot below taken from the API docs:
